First State Detachment of Ocean View Delaware.
Our primary purpose is to preserve the tradition, promote the interest, and perpetuate the history of the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS.

The First State Detachment Marine Corps League is a non-profit organization. The Detachment uses the money raised from events during the year to support our community service programs such as Semper Fi fund, Toys for Tots, Youth Physical Fitness Program and others community events, in southeastern Sussex County, Delaware and northeastern Worcester County, Maryland.
Community Services Events ~ Record Keeping Forms
As we go into 2010, Detachment officers would like to have a more accurate accounting of community services hours and events by all Marines. Please download, review and complete the recordkeeping form . Please fill out the attached form and either email or send by U.S. Mail to both the Past Commandant Dick Tanner and Frank Mathers.
Membership is open to all that are serving or have served honorably in the U. S. Marine Corps, on active duty, for no less than ninety days or have served or am currently serving in the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve and have earned no less than ninety Reserve Retirement Credit Points or that I have served or an currently serving as a U. S. Navy Corpsman who has trained with Marine FMF Units in excess of ninety days and earned the Marine Corps Device or Warfare Device worn on the Service Ribbon authorized for FMF Corpsmen. Meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of each month at the VFW POST 8296 104 66th Street Ocean City, Maryland at 7:00 PM.
